Before the democratic reform, the temple education is the only way of social education and only monks, nobles and the children of slaveholders can receive education. In 1956, a primary school was established here. Subsequently, Doilungdegen District Central Primary School, Doilungdegen District middle school, county occupation middle school was set up. Up to 2013, there are 11 primary school, 1 middle school in Doilungdegen District.
