Gonga Choding Monastery: A Nyingma monastery, was founded in 1500, and converted to Gelug in 1650.

The period between March to October is the best time to visit Xaitongmoin. From March to April, plum blossom all over the mountains and plains makes Xaitongmoin a fairyland. From May to June, tourist can appreciate the beautiful sceneries. Xaitongmoin turns to be green world from July to August and golden yellow during September to October.
