Geographical Location

Damxung County (当雄县) is located in the central part of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), within the Lhasa City administrative area. It lies in a region characterized by vast plateaus, grasslands, and mountains. Damxung is situated at the foot of the Tanggula Mountains, and it is a key area that connects the Tibetan plateau to the eastern regions of China.
