About Tangla’angqu Peak
Tangla’angqu Peak, with an elevation of 6,330 meters, is located in Damxung County of the Tibetan autonomous region. It belongs to the middle of the Tanggula mountains. It is said that the Scribe(经师) of the Nianqing Tanggula(念青唐古拉) is what the local people called “Tanglabao(唐拉宝)”. There is a river called “Ang qu(昂曲)” on the south side of Tanggula mountain, so local people call this place as “Tangla Angqu(唐拉昂曲)”. Tangla’angqu Peak is adjacent to one of the three “sacred lake”, Namucuo(纳木措) in Tibet, so the weather is highly affected by the lake, with a changeable weather. It tends to appear rain, hail, thunderstorm and lightning weather phenomenon in a day.
Attraction Transportation:
We can take a shuttle bus from Lhasa to Damxung County, then transfer a local mini bus to Tangla’angqu Peak.
