Airports

• Xi’an Xianyang International Airport 西安咸阳国际机场
  It  is the main airport serving Xi’an, the capital of China’s Shaanxi Province, as well as the whole Guanzhong area. Covering an area of 5 square kilometres (1.9 sq mi), it is the largest airport in Northwest China, and the second largest airport in Northern China. 
• Lhasa Gonggar Airport 拉萨贡嘎机场
  It is the airport serving Lhasa, the capital city of the Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It is about 62 kilometres (39 mi) southwest of the city in Gonggar County of Shannan. The airport is close to the road to Tsetang, the seat of Nêdong District and the capital of Shannan.

Xian – Lhasa Flights

There are four direct flights flying from Xi’an Xianyang International Airport to Lhasa Gonggar Airport. These flights were mainly provided by Sichuan Airlines, Air China, China Eastern Airlines and Tibet Airlines, which are all daily flights. The whole journey takes about 2 hours and 50 minutes from Xian to Lhasa by direct flights. Lhasa – Xian Flights

There are four direct flights flying from Lhasa Gonggar Airport to Xi’an Xianyang International Airport. The whole journey takes about 3 hours and 15 minutes from Lhasa to Xian by direct flights.

2.Tibet travel permit is required for entering Lhasa and travelling around Tibet, make sure you got the permit before you check in to your flight, or you will not be allowed to board the plane.
