Nyenchen Tanglha Glacier is located in Baingoin County. The glacier area is 7536 square kilometers, and the average annual glacier melt water is 14 billion 943 million cubic meters. The south part of this glaciers is the China’s largest oceanic glacier named Kaqin Glacier(卡钦冰川). The fluctuation of glacier is changed quickly and the erosion force, carrying capacity are very strong. The snowline often at an altitude of 4500-5700 meters. The glacier upstream in general have a broad basin and some special Glaciated terrain. Visitors can see the ice with glittering and translucent shine which looks just like the huge ivory jade. Sometimes it is magnificent with the spectacular snow mountains and the imposing and beautiful glaciers. Sometimes Nyenchen Tanglha Glacier is elegant with the natural pastures and the lush green mountains. The glacier stream runs down with the sounds of the snow water, the glacier and the rolling stones like the thunder.
