Early Life and Training

In 1984, at the request of the elders (老艺人) in the region, Ganiao reformed a 16-person dance troupe (16人舞蹈队), focusing on the systematic documentation and preservation of the Dingga Reba cultural heritage (丁嘎热巴文化遗产). In 2003, Ganiao established a children’s dance troupe (少儿舞蹈队) composed of 14 students (年龄在7—15岁) from local schools, ensuring the sustainable and dynamic inheritance of this important cultural tradition. The troupe has performed at various cultural exhibitions, contributing to the revitalization (复兴) and global recognition (全球认可) of Dingga Reba Dance.
