Jiedexiu Town is located in the eastern part of Gonggar County, bordering Zanang county(扎囊县) in the east, Jixiong town(吉雄镇) in the west, Changguo township in the north, and Langjie Xue township(朗杰学乡) in the south. Jiedexiu Town is known as “the land of the apron(围裙之乡)” and is one of the eight ancient towns. Jiedexiu means “Good tongue(口齿伶俐)” in Tibetan language, also called Jiedexiu(姐得秀), Jiedexue(杰得雪), etc.
