About Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve
Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve is located in the eastern suburbs of Shigatse, more than 30 kilometers. It is a nature reserve that is dominated by black-necked cranes. Every winter, the number of black-necked cranes perched on the Yajiang River is about 2,000 to 4,000. The protected areas are dominated by river Banks, and the vegetation is dominated by high-cold willows(高寒杨柳树) and seabuckthorn(沙棘). The black-necked cranes feed on the roots and buds of green plants, as well as mollusks, frogs, fish, etc.
