Luorong Pasture (洛绒牛场), located in Daocheng County (稻城县), Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (甘孜藏族自治州), Sichuan Province (四川省), sits at an elevation of 4,150 meters. This high-altitude pasture is primarily used by local villagers for livestock grazing. The fog in the valley shifts unpredictably, revealing and concealing strange rock peaks that seem to take on various shapes—sometimes resembling a heavenly palace, at other times appearing as celestial beings descending from the sky, or even as mythical creatures soaring through the clouds.

Luorong Pasture is also an important stop for travelers heading towards the Colorful Lakes (五色海) and the Milk Lake (牛奶海), which are located further into the reserve. The walk to these lakes takes approximately 3.5 hours one way. In addition, visitors who are on the route to the sacred peak of Xian’nai Ri (仙乃日) will pass through Luorong Pasture (this trek from Chonggu Temple (冲古寺) to Xian’nai Ri via Luorong Pasture is about 20 kilometers in total).
