Tibet Nature & Science Museum
Tibet Nature & Science Museum(西藏自然科学博物馆) is located in the east suburb of Lhasa City. The building area is 33,000 square meters. Tibet Natural Science Museum stands in the middle of the Himalayan mountains, where it is inspired by Buddhist culture, resulting in a building that is an integral part of the Tibetan landscape. Situated on the high plateau of Tibet at an altitude of 3,650 m, Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world.
Construction of the Tibet Autonomous Region Natural Science Museum began construction on October 9,2010. The museum is designed as a public welfare museum of natural museum, science museum and exhibition hall. It integrates exhibition and education, scientific research and communication, collection and production, leisure and tourism. It will be a popular science education and tourism base integrating science and technology, participation and interest.
