About Niyangge Southeast Tibet Culture Museum
Niyangge Southeast Tibet Culture Museum is famous for displaying all-envied history and culture of Southeast Tibet, customs, natural beauty, religious beliefs and historical sites. Within Niyangge, there are a collection of the most representative raw production tools and living utensils in the area of Gongbu and a concentrated display of the unique customs and traditions of the ethnic groups in Gongbu, Menba, Lhoba. In the outside of the Niyangge, there are Bon Bonjour, Tibetan rock paintings stone, Mother milk God, cemetery ruins, mani heap, Namgabawa god lion, country house, rattan bridge and other rich cultural landscape.
Tibet South-East Cultural Heritage Museum (藏东南文化遗产博物馆) is located in Bayi District of Nyingchi Prefecture, Tibet. The Southeast Tibetan Cultural Heritage Museum (or Nyang Pavilion)is one of the most valuable tourist sites in China’s southeast Tibet Autonomous Region and is located in the intersection between the Yarlung Zangbo River and the Nyang River, 1.5 kilometers from the Baiyi town of Nyingchi Prefecture. With a height of 39 meters, the five-story museum covers an area of over 2800 kilometers, and gains its name “Nyang Pavilion” due to the nearby Niyang River.The museum gives a comprehensive display of the historical culture, folk custom, natural scenery, religious belief and historical sites of the southeast of Tibet Autonomous Region.
Tibet Nature & Science Museum is the first large-scale museum in the history of cultural relics in Nyingchi area, 39 meters high, with a construction area of 2829 ㎡. It is located in Bajie Village, Nyingchi County. The main building was completed in September 2006. In 2020, nyingchi was listed as the first batch of municipal cultural relics protection units.

Nyingchi Mainling Airport is located in the Mainling County, 40 kilometers north of Bayi County. Up to now, there are flights to Lhasa, Chengdu and chongqin. The airport shuttle bus costs 25 yuan per person and the departure time depends on the arrival time of flights.
‣ Long-distance Bus
After arriving at Lhasa by air or train, tourists should take long-distance bus in Lhasa East Bus Station to Bayi Town, Nyingchi County, which is 406 kilometers away from Lhasa. The driving time is 8 hours and the price is 120 yuan.
‣ Taxi
The starting price of taxi in Nyingchi is 10 yuan and there is always no meter. It’s recommended to go walking because the downtown is not large. Pedicabs can be seem everywhere and the price is usually 3 yuan.
