Hotels Near Mount Everest
Tourists can stay in the tents of Everest Base Camp, or guesthouse at Rongbuk Monastery near Mount Everest. Mount Everest is remote in Shigatse. Therefore, although accommodation condition there is not so good, the price is relativele high.

Accommodation at Everest Base Camp Tent
Accommodation and Diet Conditions
Everest base camp tent can protect against cold and keep warm. The furnace heating there is sufficient, the stove will generally burn to 12:00, and the temperature in the tent can be kept at about 20℃. Tibetan beds provide enough quilts, and you can choose the number of quilts you need when you sleep at night. Tent hotels provide food, usually Tibetan egg noodles and hot buttered tea. Because of the high altitude of the Everest base camp, it is difficult to boil the water, so the taste of the food will be not so good. If you are worried that you are not used to food there, bring your own snacks to appease hunger and provide calories, such as chocolate.
Business Time
Everest base camp is at the altitude of 5200 meters above sea level, the temperature is low all the year round, and the temperature difference between day and night is relatively large. Even in the hottest summer, the highest temperature of Everest base camp is only about 20℃, and the lowest temperature at night can reach 0℃. In view of this situation, Everest base camp tent hotels are not opened all year round. According to the weather temperature, the tents are built in early April and evacuated at the end of October. The time of putting up and evacuating tents each year depends on the weather and climate conditions of that year.
Reference Price
There are many tents at the Everest base camp, and the accommodation conditions are basically the same, with prices ranging from 80 yuan to 200 yuan per person. If the base camp has fewer guests and plenty of beds, the price of tent hotels will be much cheaper. If it is the tourist season (May-June, September-October), Mount Everest has a large number of visitors, and the supply of beds at the tent hotels may also be in short supply, and prices will rise slightly at this time.

Accommodation Condition
Located next to the Rongbuk Monastery, Rongbuk Monastery guesthouse is a adobe wall building. Although it is a hotel, but the facilities in it are relatively rudimentary, compared with the tent area of the everest base camp, the guesthouse is a little better. Unlike the everest base camp tent, the room here can be divided into multi-person dormitory and standard room for two people, which can be chosen according to their own needs. The toilet of the Rongbuk Monastery is an indoor toilet, but the conditions are relatively rudimentary and cold. Remember to prepare flashlights for accommodation in this area, which will be of great use. The guesthouse also has a traditional heating method, and the stove burning cow dung is an effective heating facility in the high altitude area. If you want to keep warm when you fall asleep at night, you can bring your own warm sleeping bag into the everest base camp area. The food provided by the guesthouse is about the same as that provided in the tent area because of the altitude difference of less than 100 meters above sea level, the water is still difficult to boil, and many of the food cannot be cooked. Therefore, it is a luxury to enjoy delicious food in the Everest base camp.
Business Time
Rongbuk Monastery guesthouse is open all year round. During November to April of the following year when the tents at Everest Base Camp are evacuated, tourists can still go to Everest Base Camp to enjoy the sight of Mount Everest.
