About Double Color Lake in Biru County, Nagqu

Double Color Lake is located in Baiga Village of Biru County, surrounded by Guobudajie Thirteen Peaks(郭布达杰十三峰). In Buddhism, Double Color Lake represents the soul lake of White Tara(白度母) and Green Tara(绿度母). There is a little island in the Green Tara Lake. According to an ancient legend, there is a goat raised by Dongdan(东丹) who was a monk practiced on this island. Once the goat milk dropped into the lake, and the lake was full of waves. At this time, Dongdan used his power and flew to a lawn near the Double Color Lake. Then people named this lawn Dongdanpu(东丹普).
