About Duoqing Lake
Duoqing Lake is located along the 204 provincial highway(204省道), 100 kilometers away from Yadong County. About 1.5 million mu, natural unpolluted fish hided in more than 1500 tons. The holy water is on the plateau with an altitude of 4500 meters; red and green(丹青), the emerald green(翠绿), and the azure blue(蔚蓝) form her colorful beauty.
History of Duoqing Lake
In the ancient myths of Tibet, Zhuomu Lari Snow Mountain(卓木拉日雪山) and Duoqing Lake are known as the sacred mountain and sacred lake(神山圣湖). When local people are going through this sacred mountain, they offer white hada and highland barley wine to pray for god’s blessing.
Standing beside the road, looking away the lake and the snow-capped mountains are in one integrated mass. Goddess Peak is so charming, Duoqing Lake is so clear. Cattle and sheep are everywhere in Pali grassland(帕里草原); snow mountain and water, blue sky, white clouds form a beautiful picture.
Attraction Transportation:
We can take a shuttle bus from Xigaze to Yadong County, then transfer a local mini bus to Duoqing Lake.
