About Lebugou
Lebugou is a famous scenic spot on the south side of Kangge Erdo mountain(康格尔多山) in Cona County, Shannan. Lebu(勒布) means “good place” in Tibetan language. There is a pleasant climate, with species richness, beautiful mountains and rivers. It is in evergreen for four seasons, with beautiful blooming azaleas, jasmine, Chinese rose, and various wild flowers out of the name. It is an amazing scenery in the Tibetan plateau. Going along the road through the mysterious primitive forest and bamboo forest, we can see the cliffs, the playful monkeys and birds are everywhere.
About the Moinba nationality(门巴族)
Lebugou is also the main settlement of ethnic Menba in China. Here lives the simple Menba people. They have their own dialect, culture, clothing and so on. Paying a visit to Menba family will surely make you bewitched. Here you can see alternately stretch, soft and straightforward Menba dance, drink a bowl of thick highland barley wine as well as eat steaming local buckwheat bread.
