Geographical Location
Gamba County (岗巴县) is located in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), in the Lhoka (Shannan) Prefecture of Tibet. It lies in the southeastern part of Tibet, on the northern edge of the Yarlung Tsangpo River valley, within the Tibetan Plateau.
Borders with Neighboring Regions
- To the north: Gamba County borders Lhoka District and parts of Shigatse.
- To the south: It is adjacent to Nyingchi Prefecture.
- To the east: The county is near the Yarlung Tsangpo River, which separates it from the Nyingchi region.
- To the west: It is bordered by Bayi District in Nyingchi.
