Geographical Location
Coqen County (措勤县) is located in the Ngari Prefecture in the western part of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), China. It lies on the Tibetan Plateau, at a high altitude, and is situated to the northeast of the Ngari region.
Borders with Neighboring Regions
- To the north: Coqen County borders Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
- To the south: It is bordered by Nyingchi Prefecture in Tibet.
- To the east: It shares a boundary with Pangong Lake, which lies between China and India.
- To the west: Coqen County is adjacent to Zanda County and other areas within Ngari Prefecture.
