Qamdo Transportation- By Air
Qamdo transportation by air is served by Qamdo Bangda Airport which is located more than 130 kilometers from the downtown area. The airport is 2.5 hours by road from the county seat of Qamdo. You can take the airport bus or the taxi to the airport from urban area, the cost of the taxi is about 250-300 yuan, and the carpool is 50 yuan/ person.

Qamdo Bangda Airport currently opens the routes to Lhasa, Chengdu, Chongqing, Tianjin and Xi ‘an. Some flight schedules are not regular ones, and but due to its location in the plateau, the takeoff and landing of the flights are greatly affected by the weather.
