Tibetan-style dance performed on Asian Culture Carnival

A kind of Tibetan-style dance “Duixie” was performed by a farmers’ art troupe from Lhaze County, Shigatse City, southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region,on the opening ceremony of Asian Culture Carnival on the evening of May 15.
It is known that Lhaze County is home to “Duixie” dance. The folk dance art that integrates song, dance and music has a long history of more than a thousand years and is popular with Tibetan people. In June 2018, “Duixie” dance was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage item of China.
