Xiongru Township was officially established in August 1962. The township’s administrative structure consists of 6 villages: Buzha (布扎), Zikang (孜康), Tangtu (唐图), Zhuobabu (卓巴布), Gakang (噶康), and Maya (麻亚). The area is primarily focused on livestock farming, with the local population raising yaks, sheep, goats, and horses.
