About Ziga Grassland
Ziga Grassland（字嘎大草原）is located 65 kilometers away from the northwest of Jomda County（江达县）, Chamdo Prefecture（昌都市）, Tibet Autonomous Region. The grassland area reaches 2.05 million mu with endless prairies, blue sky and white clouds, green grass and wild flowers, typical highland pastures in summer and autumn. There’s a famous Horse Racing Festival in 15th July each year which the herdsman will dress in colorful clothes and take yogurt, ride a horse poured on the pitch from all directions for celebrating the festival.
A half-hour drive from Jomda County to the beautiful, rich and magical steppe, we will truly view the “blue sky and green land”. The steppe is a huge green scroll with a total area of 2.05 million mu. In the middle of summer, the flowers are extremely beautiful and the air is fresh, the gable tents of the stars are rising, and the meandering stream is like a silver ribbon dancing on the grassland. The breeze blows, the grass wiggles, the blue sky and the white clouds, the endless grassland, the herd of cattle, the galloping horses.

The transportation in Jomda is convenient. You can take the train from Lhasa to Shigatse City. From here, you can take the bus tour of Jomda County.
