About Baqin Hao Monastery
Nianmu Baqin(年木巴钦旅游景区) is the tourist scenic area of the Tibet autonomous region. The main scenic spots include: Hao temple(皓寺), Zangpu millennium walnut tree(赞普千年核桃树), Puge earth forest(普噶土林), Ganba Kabu Re observation deck(甘巴卡布热观景台) and other scenic spots.

Baqin Hao Monastery is located at Puxia Village(普夏村) of Nianmu Town(年木乡) in Samzhubzê District, Shigatse. It is lying along the south of the 318 national road(318国道), about 66 kilometers away from the city of Shigaze. It is the first Ningma Sect temple of the Tibetan Buddhism.

The temple covers an area of 6,631 square meters, consisting of the Big and Small Halls(大小经堂) and the monk’s house(僧舍). Its main placing Buddha is Gejie Bajin(噶杰巴金), which is the city’s key cultural relics protection unit. According to the history of the Buddhist scriptures, Master Lotus(莲花生大师), Beamarah(比玛拉来扎), Bino zana(白诺扎纳), and the Lama Laminbedo(拉窿拜多) had been practiced here.

We can take a shuttle bus from Shigatse to Samzhubzê District, then transfer a local mini bus to Baqin Hao Monastery.
