Flights in Tibet

Due to the provisions of Tibet’s travel permits, the best way to get around Tibet is with your tour group. If you want to venture outside Lhasa to other Tibet’s main cities, there are some direct provincial flights for your reference. Currently, there are five airports put in service in Tibet, including Lhasa Gonggar Airport, Chamdo Bangda Airport, Nyingchi Mainling Airport, Ngari Gunsa Airport and Shigatse Peace Airport.

1. Between Lhasa and Chamdo

At present, there are three flights flying to and from Lhasa and Chamdo operated by Air China, Tibet Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines, all departing and arriving at the same time. It takes about 1h20m from Lhasa to Chamdo and 1h30m from Chamdo to Lhasa. Below are the detailed information.

2. Between Lhasa and Ngari

At present, there are two flights flying to and from Lhasa and Nagri operated by Tibet Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines, all departing and arriving at the same time. It takes about 2h25m from Lhasa to Nagri and 1h55m from Nagri to Lhasa. Below are the detailed information.
