About Chab Geyser in Xaitongmoin County, Shigatse
 
Chab Geyser is located in the South of Gangdise mountains, Chab village of  Xaitongmoin County, Shigatse. It’s the second largest intermittent geyser in Asia. The highest temperature is 88℃ and the emission volume is 1728 tons a day. Natural heat flow is 20 ,000 kcal / sec; electric power generation potential is 20,000 kilowatts. What’s more, Chab Geyser contains higher boron. 
There are numerous hot springs formed in a large siliceous sinter platform with enough water so that tourists can enjoy hot springs here. Among them, “longyan fountain”(龙眼喷泉) erupts every 10 minutes and the average duration is 4 to 5 minutes, forming a water column of 7 meters. The scene is quite spectacular. According to the local residents, Chab Geyser includes 108 large hot springs which can treat 108 kinds of diseases, and small hot springs are countless. All of these hot springs hasve obvious effect of stomach disease, rheumatism, skin disease, nephropathy and fracture. 
 
Attraction Transportation: Due to the underdevelopment traffic system, visitors can take long-distance bus or choose self-driving to Chab Geyser.
Attraction Tips: Please confirm the temperature of each hot spring and avoid scalding. To avoid chest tightness, thirst, dizziness and other symptoms, don’t enjoy hot springs for too long. Drink water as much as possible to replenish the lost water.
