About Jiga Qude Monastery
Jiga Qude Monastery is also translated as “Qiega Quede temple(切嘎却德寺)”, located at Tarong village(塔荣村) in Nyemo County, Lhasa, Tibet autonomous region. It is a Tibetan Buddhist temple. It is said that the temple was founded in the 8th century AD by the Tubo Zanpu Chisong Dezan(赞普赤松德赞). The temple is one of the ancient monasteries in Nyemo County, and there are other Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, such as Bagu Biru Zina temple(巴古比如字那寺).
