Sangha Guduo Monastery, also called Saikaer Guduo Monastery(塞卡尔古陀寺), is located in the south of Lhozhag County. It is near the Se Village(色乡), 50 kilometers away from Lhozhag County seat. It was built by Milariba(米拉日巴) from 1077 to 1123. Sangha Guduo Monastery experienced several expansion and gradually become the current scale. There are seven floors of this monastery, each of them has four windows. Sangha Guduo Monastery has its unique architecture style. In addition to its main building, there are 11 Buddha halls and two storey Sengshe(僧舍) and lots of courtyards. Sangha Guduo Monastery dedicated to Shakya Muni gilded statue, Milariba clay sculpture and pagodas of Bka’-brgyud-pa. There are a lot of murals about Bka’-brgyud-pa events. What’s more, Sangha Guduo Monastery also collects many precious Tibetan manuscripts.
