About Weishalin Monastery in Ngamring County, Shigatse

Weishalin Monastery is located in the north of Sangsang Village(桑桑镇), Ngamring County. It was built on the top of the hill, 4500 meters above sea level. It has a history of more than 100 years and it was founded by A Re Badanyixi(阿热·巴旦益西). Weishalin Monastery has the largest number of Nyingma monks nuns. It is also the largest monastery in Ngamring County, covering an area of 1684.8 square meters.

Weishalin Monastery is on the top of the hill near the Sangsang Village, visitors can take long-distance bus or choose self-driving from Ngamring government to Sangsang village.
