About Nyêmo Iron Chain Bridge
At the beginning of the 15 century, Tangdong Jiebu(唐东杰布), a famous bridge expert in ancient Tibet, built an Iron Chain Bridge over Lhasa river, and it took him six years to build the Lhasa Iron Chain Bridge. He shot two arrows to the back of Tibet on the iron sortie bridge in Lhasa, one shot to Nyêmo and the other to the Quyue mountain(曲曰山). The first arrow was picked up by a Nyêmo street artists, and Tangdong Jiebu thought it was an auspicious sign for the construction of the bridge in Nyêmo. Then next year, he brought his apprentice to Nyêmo to build his second Iron Chain Bridge. In just a few months, an Iron Chain Bridge from Tarong(塔荣) to Qiagu(恰古) had been erected on the Nyêmo river.
