About Baryang Town
Located in Zhongba County, Tibet Autonomous Region, it is located in the source of Yarlung Zangbo River, bordering with Nepal which lead the way to Lake Manasarovar. Baryang Town is so beautiful with vast grassland, cattle,sheep and profound history. With a long history of “Harmonic” culture, Baryang Town is abundant in wild ass, wild yak, antelope, swimming black crane and pristine snow mountain reflecting the source of spirituality and wisdom of local people for revealing the beauty and the harmony of man and nature.
Baryang Town is a western prairie town where the streets are clean and are arranged with residential houses. The square in the center of the town is an important gathering and exchange place for the whole town. Many Tibetan people strolling around here makes up a picturesque idyllic picture of people with unique charming. There is a large field of pasture outside the town.

You can choose either self-driving traveling or take public transportation. According to your beginning place, there may be different ways to go to Zhongba County. There are two main lines available below.
- Lhasa- Shigatse- Zhongba County
You can reach Lhasa by air or train. Then take a bus to Zhongba County.
- Shigatse- Zhongba County
You can also take a specific train to Shigatse and take a bus to Zhongba County.

- High Altitude Sickness Avoiding: Bring enough water or drinks, fruits and snacks with high caloric content.
- Pay attention to prepare some cold weather gear like a hat, gloves, a scarf and a thick winter coat.
- The Border Permit is required to enter the mountain; as it is less convenient to apply for one in Tibet, it is suggested to obtain the permit ahead of the travelling.
