Dangqin Monastery is located in Duqiong Village of Bainang County. It belongs to Tibetan Buddhism Gelug Sect. Tibetan Buddhism is the form of Buddhist Vajrayana doctrine and institutions named after the lands of Tibet, but also found in the regions surrounding the Himalayas and much of Central Asia. Dangqin Monastery was built in 1413 as a part of Zhashenlunbu Monastery(扎什伦布寺). Dangqin Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in Bainang county. There are lots of cultural relics collected in this monastery.
