About Mendang Engraved Stone in Lhozhag County, Lhoka

Mendang Engraved Stone is located in Mendang Village. It is on a cliff junction between Mengdang Qu  River(门当曲河) and Lhozhag Nuqu River(洛扎怒曲河). It’s 2.7 meters high and 3 meters wide. The first line of inscription content is a incised Chinese character “万” which has the length and width of 40 centimeters. Then you can see a Tibetan carving of 13 centimeters high. There is followed 8 lines of Tibetan words. Mengdang Engraved Stone is same to many Duoqiong engraved stone. Both of them used ancient Tibetan style and the same content. Mendang Engraved Stone itself can form an interesting array of scenery for the visitors.
