About Mizhutong Menlin Monastery
Mizhutong Menlin Monastery is located at Shangri Village(尚日村) of Tarong Town(塔荣镇) in Nyemo County, Lhasa. It is about 2 kilometers from the main highway of Nyemo County, about 10 kilometers from the 318 national highway. Mizhutong Menlin Monastery was established in the 12th year of Taizong Yuan Dynasty(元太宗) (1240), the founding people was Lari Nianbu(拉日年布). It is a Bon Buddhist temple. The representative Living Buddha is Nida Wanza(尼达旺扎). The temple is the only Bon Buddhist temple(苯教寺庙) in Lhasa, Tibet autonomous region. The temple covers an area of 947.9 square meters, has more than 10 precious cultural relics.
