About Luo Village Grottoes
Located in the south of Luo Village of Qusum County and 38 kilometers away from county seat, Luo Village Grottoes are excavated on the mountain cliff with total length of 750 meters and the average elevation of 4,020 meters. Luo Village Grottoes, which means the mother’s nose, is named according to the shape of the cave. It is the first grotto art discovered in Tibet region which its characteristics are close to the Mo Kao Grotto at Dunhuang in Gansu Province as to research the origin, development and interaction of grotto art in Tibet region compared with other ones.
Attraction Transportation
The whole county highway is in the middle of the road, formed the highway traffic network which centered with Tsedang Town, connecting the 12 counties of Lhoka Prefecture. It is the main transport hub of the south of Tibet.

- Traveling Seasons: Spring and summer with the pleasant and lively weather.
- High Altitude Sickness Avoiding: Although Lhoka is at a relatively lower elevation area, some places of high elevation may easily cause altitude reaction. Better take some medicines for relief and keep warm all the time.
- Pay attention to prepare some necessities for the cold weather like the hat, gloves, scarf and thick winter coat and so on.
