Xiagangjiang Snow Mountain（岗江雪山）is located in the north of Daxiong Township（达雄乡）, Coqen County（措勤县）, Ngari Prefecture（阿里地区）, Tibet Autonomous Region, 80 kilometers away from the county seat, east longitude 85 ° 04 ’31 ° 41′ and north latitude, with an elevation of 4800 meters. Here is high, 5000-6500 meters above sea level, the main peak of Xiagangjiang Snow Mountain is about 6822 meters. There are many plateau unique natural landscape and human landscape, which make it a domestic and overseas tourists sightseeing, tourism, and an ideal place for adventure. Surrounded by beautiful summer hills and Snow Mountains, the amazing lake, the ancient Buga Monastery（布嘎寺）, the abundant wildlife resources and the original ecological scenery are all significant and amazing to visit. There is also a beautiful legend of the snow mountain, which is rumored that the snow mountain used to be a beautiful young girl who married to the famous mountain god of Kangrinboqe（冈波仁齐）. On her way to the distant marriage, she was raped by a sinister old man, Zhagulang（扎古郎）who is now a mountain in Dongco Township（洞措乡）of Gerze County（改则县）. In her grief, she turned into a millennial snow peak and her tears became a clear hot spring under the snow mountain. It was suspected that the bubbling hot springs were the tearful tears of the young girl, who had made a silent complaint against the old man.
Attraction Transportation
Naqu District 206 line runs through the Coqen County. There are Xinjiang Tibet highway in the south and the District Lane 301 line in the north. The highway traffic system is perfect; visitors can choose self-driving tour in Coqen County. There are 724.2 km from Ngari to Coqen County and it will spend 17 hours for driving. Tourist can travel to Ngari by air firstly and then transfer to Coqen County by long-distance bus, which is the major choice. .
