Samzhu Gandan Monastery is 500 m away from Sangzhu Village, Ngamring County. It was built by Jiayang Banjuejianzan which was the first head lama in 1090. Samzhu Gandan Monastery is Sagya sect(萨迦教派) at first, and the fifth head lama changed it to Gelug Sect. Nowadays, there lives 23 monks.
