About Ziburi Mountain
Located in Tingri County, it’s known as the ‘Flying Peak’ with an altitude of 5,500 meters above sea level. A legend is known that the mountain came from India which was nailed down by Sakyamuni on the hill. There was the ruins of a castle in the mountains, which was quite large with tall walls, vaulted gates, including a core palace, a temple, and a bunker.

You can choose either self-driving traveling or take public transportation. According to your beginning place, there may be different ways to go to Tingri County. There are two main lines available below.
- Lhasa- Shigatse- Tingri County
You can reach Lhasa by air or train. Then take a bus to Tingri County.
- Shigatse- Tingri County
You can also take a specific train to Shigatse and take a bus to Tingri County.

- Traveling Hours: 2 or 3 days
- Traveling Seasons: June to September
- High Altitude Sickness Avoiding: Bring enough water or drinks, fruits and snacks with high caloric content.
- Pay attention to prepare some cold weather gear like a hat, gloves, a scarf and a thick winter coat.
- Dry season is better than rainy season (Jun-Sep) for mountaineering;
- The Border Permit is required to enter the mountain; as it is less convenient to apply for one in Tibet, it is suggested to obtain the permit ahead of the travelling.
