About Guopu Baizong Mountain
Guopu Baizong Mountain（果普白宗神山）is a famous religious pilgrimage site in the Kang District which is located 4 kilometers away from Jomda County（江达县）, Chamdo Prefecture（昌都市）, Tibet Autonomous Region. There integrates the beautiful scenery of the grassland, forest and snow mountain in the ecotourism area. Looking from a distance, Guopu Baizong Mountain looks like a human heart. It is also said that Guopu Baizong Mountain is the heart of the three sacred mountains in Tibet. Legend has it that the fourth world Buddha, Duoji Zhabo（多吉扎波）, in a day of practice, perceiving Padama Sambhava（莲花生大师）to entrust him to the light of the mountain, so that Buddha Duoji Zhabo has used the power to light the mountain. From then on, the mountain became a famous sacred mountain for 1200 years.
Attractions of Guopu Baizong Mountain
Going to the mountain top, visitors have to climb over a ridge of Life and Death Mountain. Climbing over the mountain is the symbol of defeating the death, after the climb, people can reincarnation. Halfway up the hill there are two caves, a tiger cave, a sin cave, and a statue of the goddess of mercy at the front of the sin cave. The path to the sin cave is steep. It is said that it’s really difficult even impossible for the evil one is to go through the sin cave safely, hence, it got the name. It is a tourist area that combines natural scenery with religious culture.
The centennial pine cypress around the sacred mountain, the strange flowers and grasses and the vast expanse of lawns and the wonders of nature add to the mysterious color of Guopu Baizong Mountain. The beautiful legend about the sacred mountain has been handed down to the present day, making it a beautiful scenic tourist area in JJomda County.

The transportation in Jomda is convenient. You can take the train from Lhasa to Shigatse City. From here, you can take the bus tour of Jomda County.
