Nyingchi Railway Station
Nyingchi Station, also known as Nyingchi Railway Station, is located in Zire Village(孜热村) of Bayi District. It is a prefecture-level station Lhasa-Nyingchi section of Sichuan-Tibet Railway (Lalin Railway), and also the terminal of Kangding-Nyingchi Railway. Construction started in the summer of 2015, and it is expected to start operation by the end of 2021. Zire village is the northernmost village of Bujiu Township in Bayi District, more than 10 kilometers away from the township government, about 19 kilometers away from Bayi Town of Nyingchi City, only about 20 minutes on the fast road (also used as Mainling airport highway), and 30 kilometers away from Nyingchi Mainling airport. According to the plan, the new Lhasa-Nyingchi railway will be drawn from the existing Xiegrong railway station on Lhasa-Shigatse railway, across the Yarlung Zangbo River, and then go east through Zhanang, Shannan, Sangri, Gyaca County, Nang County and Mainling County to Nyingchi railway station.
Lalin(Lhasa-Nyingchi) Railway- Under Construction
The construction of Lhasa Nyingchi Railway started in December 2014. It starts from Lhasa railway station and goes directly to Nyingchi railway station. The railway runs through the Yarlung Zangbo River. More than 90% of the railway needs to be built on a plateau more than 3,000 meters above sea level.

Significance of Nyingchi Railway Station(Under Construction)
At present, the external traffic of Nyingchi, Shannan and other places is mainly by road and supplemented by aviation. Due to the influence of special weather conditions, road breaks and aviation stops occur from time to time, and the transportation accessibility is poor, which cannot meet the needs of economic and social development along the routes. The construction of Lhasa-Nyingchi railway will build a large capacity passage in and out, which is an important national defense railway and provides strong transportation support for the development of tourism resources, mineral resources, product input and economic development along the line. The integrated natural ecological landscape of snow mountain, river valley and grassland is beautiful, and cultural and historical resources such as culture and religion are rich. However, limited by traffic conditions, tourism resources along the route have not been developed on a large scale.
